There are 10 Level 1/2 coaching bursaries in basketball, cricket, football and athletics

There is £6000 left to spend

We have a cricket level 1 part funded and 33 CPD courses funded in First Aid, Child Protection and Safeguarding Children.

ID to forward spreadsheet containing the information and provide monthly updates at our meeting. This will help us to see the impact of the initiatives and see where the gaps are e.g. which sports/clubs are not taking advantage of the schemes. Funding is committed until March 2012.

7. Stockport Sports Trust - Outcome 6:

Meeting held on 21st September, BW attended. Norman Walker is the SST Board Champion. Work is going according to plan using the traffic light system meaning: red - not started, amber - started but not finished, green - on track/complete.

School/Club links: Schools sign up but pay lip service to the agreement and do not back it up with action, motivation is low.

The future looks like the burden of sports delivery will fall onto the shoulders of the voluntary sector.

Next meeting is scheduled for 11th January 2011.

  3. Stockport Basketball Club - meet all criteria. Requesting funds to help with coaching and equipment costs to host a basketball competition during half-term. Aimed mainly at primary school age in a bid to introduce new players into the club. Application agreed.
